In response to the measure approved by Donald Trump’s government that excludes trans women from women’s sports competition in the United States, we at the Panteres Grogues Sports Club express our strongest condemnation and rejection.

This direct attack on the rights of trans people, and especially trans women, not only violates basic principles of justice and equality, but also perpetuates discrimination and fosters hatred in an area that should be an inclusive and safe space for all people: sport.

The systematic exclusion of trans people from the sports world is part of a retrograde agenda that seeks to dehumanize and deny fundamental rights to historically oppressed groups. Instead of promoting inclusion and respect, this measure institutionalizes discrimination, contradicting the values of equity and diversity that should govern any democratic society.

At Panteres Grogues, an international benchmark in inclusive sport and proud to defend diversity, we want to remind you that:

– Sport is for all people, regardless of their gender identity.

– Denying trans women the participation in women’s competitions is a form of institutional violence and a violation of human rights.

– Policies based on discrimination have no place in the 21st century.

We cannot let our guard down in the face of these hate speeches and exclusionary policies. We must firmly prevent measures like this from crossing our borders and contaminating the public debate or the sporting and social policies of our country.

In the face of hatred and attempts to cut rights, there is only one response: to come together, to stand together and to fight united for a fair, inclusive and diverse society, where all people have their place. Only in this way can we build spaces free of discrimination.

We call on sports organizations, institutions and society as a whole to raise their voices against this threat. Defending the rights of trans people is not an option; it is a collective responsibility.

At Panteres Grogues we will not stop fighting for a sport free of discrimination, where all people can find their space and develop their potential without having to justify their existence.
